May there be victory and auspiciousness! May there be eternal prosperity and auspiciousness!

to our Lord rAma candra!
to Lord mAdhava – Consort of lakshmI!

May there be victory and auspiciousness! May there be eternal prosperity and auspiciousness -

to the nourisher of true devotees;
to the Lord who is of the form of eternity;
to the Lord praised by brahmA and Siva;
to the Lord who bore of mandara or gOvardhana mountain;
to the most distinguished of Solar dynasty who is indeed eternity, truth or existence and purity embodied;
to the valorous One;
to the Over-Lord of Kings;
to the Lord with the splendour of a crore Suns;
to the Lord praised by this tyAgarAja; and
to the jewel called 'rAma'.

Aditya kula tilakunaku dhIrunakunu (jaya)

to the most distinguished (tilakunaku) of Solar (Aditya) dynasty (kula) who is indeed eternity (nitya) (nityamai), truth or existence (satya) (satyamai) and purity (nirmala) (literally blemish-less) (nirmalambaina) embodied; and
to the valorous One (dhIrunakunu).

to the jewel (ratna) (literally precious stone) (ratnamunaku) called 'rAma'.
